The area that I’m researching
is in the visual arts on how aesthetics in game design and art the research
goes into the psychology with how to set up your art assets to meet certain
criteria. Like if you want to create a world like The Lord of the Rings you can
have it set-up where the location you start is a harmony set-up then
progressively goes to a dissonance the closer you get to Mordor. This research
will help more in trying to make more effective compositions and to tell a more
effective story with-in a game or animation. The importance of this research is
mainly learning how to learn better strategies when building your world for
your game or film. It helps further reinforce integration of someone’s flow
state so that the watcher or player can get a better experience.
The research done in month four was to learn how to
incorporate a character into an environment and find out how to incorporate it
into a game’s mechanics.
